Dorkbot Paris
Dorkbot refers to a group of affiliated organizations worldwide that hold meetings of artists, engineers, and designers working in the
medium of electronic art.
Dorkbot Paris exists since January 2007. It is a nomadic monthly event open to everyone. Attendance is invited to submit subjects to show for the next session. Usually, an event ends with an opendork session, where everyone can quickly present a project.

Dorkbot SL
Dorkbot SL wants to explore the new possibilities of the metaverse and tries to establish a platform for a glocal way of creating new connections and collaborations.

Evo Szuyuan (Brigit Lichtenegger in RL) is a new media artist, programmer, researcher, curator and machinimatographer. With a main interest for VirtualReality and Immersive and Networked Environments she contributed to numerous international collaborative Art and Research projects that have been awarded and presented at festivals, galleries and musea all over the world, including Ars Electronica, DEAF and the Swiss National Museum.
In 2006 she started exploring the potential of the Second Life platform as the avatar Evo Szuyuan. There she organizes Dorkbot Second Life and got involved in creating movies for music groups, performance and installation artists. These movies have been screened in Second Life and at the European Machinima Festival, where Brigit received nominations in several award categories. She has recently started to work on the feature length movie – “Volavola -Fly me” – which will be shot entirely in Second Life.

La Cantine

La Cantine is a creative, experimental and innovative space dedicated to digital technologies, located in the center of Paris.
Both a place of exchange and a technological showcase, La Cantine is open to professionals, tech enthusiasts and everyday users. Dedicated to ascending innovation, la Cantine welcomes all contributors to digital life. La Cantine favors the conception and emergence of new uses, products and services by accelerating ideas, creation and networked innovation.
A true collaborative platform, La Cantine is a new space for sharing experience and skills (co-working, art-oriented platforms, alternative venues, competitive clusters, specialized research labs, colleges and universities).
This desire to share and find new ways to collaborate made it natural to extend its activity to virtual worlds. One of the partners of La Cantine being Orange, Orange Island sounded like the perfect place to implement the virtual Cantine.
